Online Registration FAQ

Directory Information
The question below is listed in Parent Information section of the Online Registration.  Answering "No" to this question means that we cannot provide our yearbook, graduation regalia, or photographers with your email address.  As a result, you will not receive any communication about purchasing these items including school photos and sports team photos.   If you have not submitted registration, we encourage you to answer "Yes" in order to receive all of the information.

Infographic titled 'Two Apps RCS Parents Need to Download This School Year' on a navy blue background. First section features the MyRCS Parent App logo (a circular RCS icon in green, blue, and orange) with the tagline 'Stay informed with district and school news, events, alerts, and important updates.' Icons list its features: District & School News, Events & Calendars, Individualized Messaging, Alerts & Notifications, and Family Resources. Second section shows two apps side by side: ParentVUE (Parent App, Synergy) with a purple icon, and StudentVUE (Student App, Synergy) with a green icon, each displaying three phone screenshots showing login and welcome screens. Below both apps, five icons list shared features: Assignments, Attendance, Grades, Progress, and Schedules.

Are you connected?
Have you downloaded the MyRCS app and ParentVue?

ParentVue is your source for tracking attendance and grades. The MyRCS app is the place to find your teachers' Rooms (formally websites), the school calendar, and messages from your students' teachers, club sponsors, and coaches.

If you have not received an invitation to the myRCS app and Rooms, please check your contact information in ParentVue.  You must have a unique email address or mobile phone number.  If your contact information is the same as another guardian, the software will not create the invitation.

TCAP Score Reports
Students that attended CMS last year will be receiving their TCAP score reports for parents this week.  Please ask your student about this report.

Tiger Time Math Tutoring
Free math tutoring is available during school every 7th period. Students may come during any lunch to room 131 for help.

Senior Thesis Mentors
For the capstone project at Central, seniors are required to select a research topic in order to generate new perspectives based on research, experiments, and data analysis. There are five main field categories: psychology, biomed, engineering, product, and systematic, but the specific topics run the gamut of many career fields based on the student's interests. The mentor content could also encompass passions or hobbies you consider yourself a content expert. One main component throughout the project is for the student to pair with a mentor outside the walls of Central that can provide industry and/or professional perspective on the subject area. Here comes the ask! If you would be interested (or know someone in your sphere of influence that may be interested), please fill out this form or forward to those that might. Filling out the form does not mean you are committing to being a mentor but more that you are willing for students to reach out to you to see if a mentorship could be a good fit. The mentors need to meet with students (in-person or virtually) at least once a semester and then provide a final grade that adds to the final scoring for the student. Please reach out to Mr. Coomes (andrew.coomes24@rcschools.net) with any follow-up questions.
